Shiva is pleased to announce that it has been successfully appraised as a CMMI® Maturity Level 2 organization effective March 6, 2009. The appraisal team concluded that Shiva has implemented a disciplined process to manage, monitor and control its IT projects.
During the appraisal process, the SEI trained external appraisal team identified several strengths across the entire organization. Notably, the organizational process related to project management disciplines and follow the best practices of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Senior management was significantly involved at all levels and their interaction with the project teams and key stakeholders was noted to be consistent and substantive throughout each projects’ lifecycle.
Shiva’s rigorous process improvement effort and alignment with the CMMI framework demonstrates the organization’s continuing efforts to achieve the highest level of quality in processes and standards, as well as successfully delivering measurable and sustainable benefits to all of their customers.
“I am delighted that as a team, Shiva has achieved CMMI Maturity Level 2, a process framework that will continue to assure that we provide the best quality business solutions to all of our customers. The experiences gained from this effort helps up set the stage for other process improvement initiatives. Our thanks to the teams and individuals involved, both for their effort and support through the appraisal process, and their continuing dedication to Process Improvement,” said Ms. Sujata Avasthi, President & CEO of Shiva.
