| Responsibilities include: • Perform test and evaluation activities, including writing test plans, developing test cases, executing test plans, and writing test reports.
• Assisting in the creation of test plans and test scripts related to functionality, integration, user acceptance, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify and suggest improvements to the test and evaluation process that will improve product quality, and reduce cycle time.
• Work with development team members to identify, reproduce, resolve and retest bugs. • Perform functional, usability, regression, and load & performance testing.
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining QA tools and bug tracking system.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the functionality of the product line.
• Assist in the development of testing schedules and resource estimates.
• Manage time and priorities in an effort to meet all established testing schedules and deadlines.
• Assist in the gathering and analysis of quality control metrics and conducting quality inspections
• Lead the automation of test scripts in WinRunner and Test Director.
• Support the development team in the implementation and ongoing execution of automated unit testing.
• Support the QA Team in internal baseline promotion, maintenance of the version control system, as well as other configuration management activities.
• Develop and update system documentation.
• Conduct peer reviews and other quality assurance activities
• Assisting the QA Team in CMM compliance-related activities
• Assist in the preparation of the unit testing and system testing environments.
• Communicate, as appropriate, with the client's configuration management and testing groups for coordination of software releases. Requirements: • Three or more years of experience with quality assurance and quality control activities is required. Preferable, on the Microsoft ASP/COM platform.
• Should have at least 3-5 years of experience on any one of the test automation tools: Winrunner, Loadrunner, Test Director, Test Manager, or Rational Robot.
• Should have exposure to one defect tracking/incident management tool – e.g. PVCS Tracker, BugZilla, or equivalent.
• Experience in Quality Control activities and metrics gathering is required
• Experience planning and conducting quality inspections such as peer reviews, walkthroughs, Fagan inspections, or equivalent is required
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are a must
• Team oriented and consensus-based is required for a productive relationship with developers
• Proven Experience performing QA Audits for CMM level 3 or higher is desirable • Familiarity with Junit, Nunit, or equivalent Unit Testing tools is desirable
• Government experience is a plus |
